Cryptic Tweet From Minecraft Developer Hints To 1.18 Update Coming Soon

Mojang, a Minecraft developer has announced in October that part two of their huge Caves and Cliffs update would be available in "a month or at most". It seems like it's almost there, as Mikael Hedberg, the Tech Lead of Minecraft Java Edition, has just tweeted something a little obscure.

Although it may not appear like much, the Mojang employees are well-known for using Twitter to tease new features. The tweet's language specifically "preparing" suggests that there will be a sequel to Caves and Cliffs.

Pre-releases typically occur just a few days or even weeks before the official release of the new update and function as a step between "snapshots" - the testing ground for new features players can choose to use and the final update, which is hopefully as close to completion as it is possible. 1.17's last update was released on May 27th. The full update was released on June 8th.

What does this mean? We hope that it means that we won't have long to wait for the 1.18 update, which will add incredible new worlds to your Minecraft worlds. It could even arrive before the end of November!

Mojang also revealed in this year's Minecraft Live presentation, that the Deep Dark biome with its new mob The Warden would be moved back to The Wild update in 2022.

Are you able to get your server ready for the update? Have  Minecraftservers.best  been trying out the snapshots? Let us know in the comments!
